Cookies and privacy choices

What is stored in your browser and how to manage consent.

Last updated: October 31, 2026

1. Essential store functions

The cart and remembering privacy choices work independently of marketing and analytics consent. The site stores a cart identifier (pawse-cart-id) and privacy choices (pawse-cookie-preferences) in browser local storage. They remain until removed, replaced or cleared by the browser; an expired cart identifier is removed when its expiry is detected. The pawse_meta_consent cookie stores only the advertising consent state, without a person identifier, for up to 180 days. Shopify also uses technologies necessary for secure checkout, sessions and payments.

2. Basic server counters

Without analytics consent we count server requests by day, UTC hour, language, page category, request type and broad traffic source. Sources are fixed categories based on information already in the request, such as Meta advertising or search. Raw campaign parameters and referrers are not stored. These counters do not store a user identifier, IP address, full URL or cookies, and do not combine visits into a profile. They count requests, not unique people. Infrastructure logs are a separate category covered by the Privacy Policy.

3. PostHog analytics with consent

Optional PostHog website analytics starts after analytics consent. It measures page views and selected store actions such as cart changes or continuing to checkout. It may store identifiers in cookies or browser storage. Session recording and automatic capture of all clicks are disabled on the website. Withdrawing consent stops further website analytics events; mobile-app choices are separate.

4. Meta with marketing consent

Meta Pixel, the website Conversions API and the Shopify Facebook & Instagram integration measure and personalise advertising. With marketing consent they may share product, cart and purchase activity and identifiers used to match events. The “Advertising measurement (Meta + Shopify)” choice includes Shopify analytics needed for checkout advertising measurement, but does not enable PostHog. After consent we store _fbp and, when the URL contains a real advertising click identifier, _fbc cookies on pawse.pl and its subdomains for up to 90 days. They match measurement between the website and checkout. Campaign parameters are stored in session storage as pawse-meta-attribution until the session ends or consent is withdrawn. A purchase or analytics consent does not grant marketing consent. Meta explains its own processing in its Privacy Policy.

5. Changing your choice and checkout

You can accept, reject or separately choose PostHog website analytics and Meta advertising measurement including Shopify checkout analytics. Refusal does not prevent shopping. Open Cookie settings in the footer, change the switches and save. Withdrawal applies to future processing and does not undo earlier lawful processing. When you next continue to checkout, we pass the current choice to Shopify. For an already-open checkout, also check its privacy settings; changing pawse.pl does not confirm a change in a separately open Shopify page. Choices are specific to the browser and device. You can also remove site data in your browser settings.
